Sprout Valley is a wholesome farming game in the spirit of Stardew Valley, crossed with a "Grow a Garden"-style rare-crop economy. Animals spawn in random colours โ€” keep an eye out for a rare blue chicken or purple cow. Keep a pair and they breed: babies appear and grow into adults, so your herd grows itself (up to a cap you can raise with the Breeding skill).

Cast at the pond (fresh water) or the open sea (salt water) and play the one-click cast โ†’ bite โ†’ hook minigame: the rod arcs out, the bobber settles, bubbles rise when a fish is interested, then the bobber dunks โ€” click the moment it does to set the hook. Miss the window and it gets away.

Fish run the same 8-tier rarity ladder as crops, from everyday Minnows up to Celestial white-whales like the Leviathan Eel. The Fishing skill's luck tilts the odds toward rarer catches, and the ocean holds bigger, more valuable species than the pond.

Every reward is funded by money that actually came in โ€” marketplace fees, cosmetic sales, and treasury staking yield. The reward pool can only distribute what it holds, so it can never death-spiral. Rewards are funded only by real revenue โ€” not by new-player inflows (Ponzi) or token emissions (inflation).

Honesty first: the game is 100% client-side today (your save lives in your browser). That's perfect for a free single-player game โ€” and it means no real value can be attached to it yet, because a client-trusted save could be edited or botted. Making value-minting trustworthy is a hard prerequisite for any withdrawable reward.

Before $SPROUT/SOL is ever on the line, the architecture moves to an authoritative server + on-chain settlement hybrid: the client predicts and renders, but the server owns the clock, the RNG and the economy, and only it (and the chain) can credit rewards.

  2. Click Select Wallet in the game and approve the connection.
  3. Grab free devnet SOL from the faucet to experiment.

Is the game free to play?

Yes. The entire cozy farming loop is free and runs in your browser. $SPROUT, the marketplace and rewards are an optional layer at the edges โ€” you never have to spend to enjoy the game.

Do I need crypto or a wallet to play?

No. You can play the full game with no wallet at all. Connecting a Solana wallet (devnet) is optional and currently just shows your address and balance.

Is it pay-to-win?

No. Boosts from staking and cosmetics are deliberately modest, and progression is driven by playing โ€” not by buying power. Rewards favour contribution (discoveries, quality, collections), not raw spend or grind.

How do players actually earn real value?

Through the revenue-funded Community Harvest Pool: a share of marketplace fees, cosmetic sales and treasury yield is paid out each season, split by contribution. It's a cozy bonus, not a salary โ€” and it can only ever pay out what it took in.

What stops bots from draining the rewards?

Bots can farm free off-chain coins all they like โ€” that's worthless. The reward layer is server/chain-authoritative with per-wallet caps, contribution scoring, stake-to-earn and bot/wash-trade detection. See fair play.

When does $SPROUT / staking / the marketplace go live?

See the roadmap. These roll out in stages; staking and the marketplace require the token mint and authoritative anti-cheat to be in place first.

Where do I find the official contract address?

Only from our official website and verified social channels. Treat any address DMed to you as a scam.

Will my farm be wiped?

Your single-player save persists locally. As on-chain features and cloud saves arrive, we'll communicate any migrations clearly in advance.
